Job summary

beatmysalary is seeking an experienced security professional to evaluate technology, help shape business cases and support cloud security initiatives in a Dublin-based role.

You will assist with test case definitions, vendor selection and the implementation of security controls for cloud environments, while collaborating with engineers, PMs and business owners to uphold regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of information security, risk management and data privacy in digital commerce.
• Understanding of cloud native and multi-cloud deployments and security constraints.
• Knowledge of firewalls, threat prevention/detection and application security principles.
• Familiarity with cryptography and PKI.
• Familiarity with identity management and authentication/authorization principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform technology evaluations and support business case development.
• Define test cases and assist vendor selection using industry criteria.
• Support design, testing and implementation of security solutions for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with security engineers and development/operations teams to secure applications and services.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across business owners, end-users, customers, PMs and engineers.

Job description

Perform technology evaluations, supporting business case development, test case definition, and vendor selection based on industry standard criteria.

• Support the design, test, and implementation of security solutions to meet security and regulatory requirements for cloud environments.
• Support senior cloud security engineers and development and operational teams to securely design applications and services following industry best practices.
• Cultivate and maintain working relationships with variety of internal stakeholders, including business owners, end-users, customers, project managers, engineers, and leaders.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of information security principles, theories, and concepts.
• Support security analysis of application architectures and cloud services.

The ideal candidate for this position should have:

• Good understanding of information security, risk management, and data privacy within the domain of digital commerce.
• Good understanding of security capabilities and constraints related to deploying cloud native and multi-cloud applications and infrastructure.
• Good understanding of firewalls, threat prevention and detection, and application security principles
• Knowledge of applied cryptography and Public Key Infrastructures (PKI).
• Good understanding of identity management, user authentication and authorization principles.
