You will work with leadership and cross-functional teams, owning parts of the project from concept to delivery and continuously improving the architecture. We value strong technical leadership, mentoring, and clear communication of decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience including design, development and deployment of large-scale systems.
• Experience with system design and architecture for distributed systems or cloud-based applications.
• Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable software components for Google Cloud-based platforms, especially within the GCE Node organization.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues with timely resolutions.
• Contribute to architectural design and technical direction within Google Cloud ecosystems.

• Ability to drive projects from concept to successful completion, effectively managing cross-functional dependencies, and clearly communicating technical decisions and progress to stakeholders.
• Excellent technical leadership, including mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and influencing team's technical direction and best practices.
