Job summary

GemPool is recruiting a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a leading technology solutions provider in Dublin, Ireland. The role focuses on building resilient AWS environments, driving automation, and solving complex infrastructure challenges.

The candidate should have 10+ years in IT/infrastructure with 5+ years AWS hands-on experience, familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and monitoring tools, and a strong scripting background. Hybrid work is available with 2 days onsite.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong AWS experience across EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and S3.
• Expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation.
• Strong scripting skills using Python and/or Shell.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps/SRE practices.
• Knowledge of Splunk, CloudWatch, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience with cloud security, disaster recovery, high availability, and production incident management.
• Working knowledge of Azure or GCP would be advantageous.

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Contract Length: 12 months with extension opportunities

What We’re Looking For?

• 10+ years of IT/infrastructure engineering experience, including 5+ years of hands‑on AWS expertise
