Job summary

EPAM Systems in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Cloud Engagement Lead to join the AWS practice in a hybrid role. You will own cloud engagements from shaping through delivery, advise clients, and grow EPAM’s AWS footprint in Ireland, including pre-sales and GenAI integration.

The role requires strong AWS background, leadership experience, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders across enterprise sectors such as energy and financial services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of technology experience with hands-on AWS.
• Proven background leading client-facing cloud engagements through all delivery stages.
• Strong understanding of AWS architecture, services and enterprise adoption patterns.
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI services on AWS and their client applications.
• Proven pre-sales experience including shaping, estimation and proposals.
• Strong capability in client growth, account management, or business development.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead AWS engagements end to end from discovery to delivery and handover.
• Act as trusted advisor to client stakeholders translating business challenges into AWS solutions.
• Conduct pre-sales activities including opportunity shaping, estimation and proposal development.
• Grow existing client relationships and identify new opportunities in the Irish market.
• Bring AI and GenAI solutions on AWS to clients including Bedrock, SageMaker, and RAG patterns.
• Ensure engagements follow architecture and engineering best practices.
• Guide engineers across engagements supporting technical and professional development.
• Contribute to reusable assets and knowledge sharing within the AWS practice.
• Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance and quality standards.

Job description

We're looking for a Cloud Engagement Lead to join our AWS practice in Dublin, Ireland in a hybrid working mode. This is a client-facing role that combines in-depth AWS solution expertise, engagement ownership and business growth. You will lead cloud engagements from shaping through to delivery, act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, and ensure solutions are well-architected, secure and aligned to business outcomes. You will play a key role in expanding EPAM’s AWS presence in Ireland, leading pre-sales activities and integrating AI and GenAI capabilities into client solutions. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong AWS background who has progressed into client leadership and growth, combining technical credibility with commercial awareness. Sector exposure may include energy, financial services and other enterprise verticals.

Requirements

• 7+ years of technology experience, including significant hands-on work with AWS
• Proven background leading client-facing cloud engagements through all delivery stages
• Comprehensive understanding of AWS architecture, services and enterprise adoption patterns
• Familiarity with AI and GenAI services on AWS and their application to client solutions
• Demonstrated pre-sales experience including solution shaping, effort estimation and proposals
• Strong capability in client growth, account management or business development
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers in a collaborative environment
• Understanding of delivery commercials such as scope, effort and budget management
• AWS certification at Associate level (Solutions Architect or Developer); Professional or Specialty preferred
• Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and technical teams
• Nice to have Experience in consulting, professional services or systems integration environments
• Multi-cloud exposure (Azure, GCP)
• Sector experience in financial services, life sciences, retail, public sector or energy
• SAP knowledge or implementation experience
• Established network within the Irish technology market
