Job summary

Amazon in Dublin invites applications for a software developer to design, develop and deploy quality solutions enabling customers to interact with the RDS service at scale via API and UI. The role emphasizes architecture leadership, mentoring, and hands-on software development using Java/C++/C# in a fast-paced cloud environment.

You will contribute to scalable, reliable systems across Compute, Database, Storage, and more, while embracing AWS values and inclusive teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy quality solutions that help customers interface with the RDS service at scale via API and graphical interfaces.
• Lead architecture and design decisions for new and existing systems to meet reliability and scalability goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud services.
