Job summary

St. Vincent’s University Hospital is seeking a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for the EDITH service. The post involves delivering expert OT input for older adults across acute and community interfaces, with a focus on clinical leadership, development and research.

The role requires leadership in practice development, audits, and outcome measurement, and includes extended hours subject to rota. A full clean driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified for at least five years with a minimum of three consecutive years of clinical experience in older persons’ care.
• Experience in emergency care, outpatient services, or integrated care models is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an expert Occupational Therapy service to meet the complex needs of older adults across acute and community interfaces.
• Participate in extended hours including shift and weekend work; four‑week rolling rota.
• Lead and contribute to service development, quality improvement and research.
• Develop and advance the specialist area and wider departmental initiatives.
• Audit, outcome measurement, and integration of the latest evidence into practice.
