Job summary

Avista invites applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 at St. Vincent’s Centre, Lisnagry, Limerick. The role requires CNM2 experience with post-registration nursing in disability services, NMBI registration, and a management qualification.

You will lead nursing teams and ensure HIQA compliance. Applicants should have a detailed knowledge of rostering, staff development, and the ability to work with families and MDTs. Driving licence and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• NMBI Registration with nursing qualification.
• Management qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience, with 3 years in disability services.
• Previous CNM1 level experience in Intellectual Disability is required.
• Mandatory training completed.
• Strong managerial, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Detailed knowledge of HIQA standards/regulations and Health Act 2007.
• Experience rostering and staff leave planning.
• Understanding of the Role of the Person in Charge.
• Ability to work independently and manage change.
• Full clean Irish driving licence for manual vehicles and access to own car.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience in autism and mental health.
• Ability to work effectively with families and MDT.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing services in disability settings with a focus on person-centred care.

• Oversee rostering arrangements and staff leave planning.
• Support the role of the Person in Charge and manage change.
