Job summary

Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a Theatre Nurse Lead to coordinate and manage activity and resources within the clinical area. You will work with the CNM2 to deliver staffing, staff development, and strong communication to support patient care and family experience.

You will provide clinical leadership, drive quality and safety outcomes, and actively participate in daily theatre activities and governance.

Qualifications

• RGN/RCN registered with NMBI.
• Minimum 3 years post registration with theatre nursing experience in an acute clinical environment within the last 7 years.
• A primary degree in Nursing or Post Graduate Diploma / Qualification in Nursing RCN/RGN.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this post is to the post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. The role will proactively manage the Theatre daily activities, together with the CNM2 to provide quality and safety outcomes for patients and their families.

Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications And Experience

• RGN/RCN registered with NMBI;
• Minimum 3 years post registration with theatre nursing experience in an acute clinical environment within the last 7 years;
• A primary degree in Nursing or Post Graduate Diploma / Qualification in Nursing RCN/RGN.
