Qualifications

• Associates degree in ASCP eligible program or equivalent. Meet ongoing education requirements for certification.
• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex procedures to provide quality clinical information.
• Operates, calibrates, checks and maintains instrumentation.
• Keeps updated with current technologies.
• May collect and process patient specimens within policies and time frames.
• Maintains clean work area and adequate supplies.
• May mentor MT/MLT, phlebotomy staff and lab processor students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
