Job summary

Be Independent Home Care is seeking a full-time Care Supervisor for our North Dublin team. The role involves overseeing client care, updating care plans, and supervising care staff. A driving licence and car are essential, with travel across the region required.

Core hours are 9:00–17:00 Monday to Thursday and 9:00–16:00 on Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. QQI Level 5 in Healthcare is required; Level 6 is desirable. Hybrid/remote options and mileage support are offered.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage own dedicated geographical region of North Dublin.
• Oversee all aspects of clients' care and driving care plan updates.
• Conduct risk assessments and care plan reviews.
• Provide supervision and support to the care team.
• Coordinate with scheduling on capacity and resource allocation.
• Report to Care Manager and work with initiative.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a full time Care Supervisor to join our North Dublin team.

This is a permanent full-time position and is a new position to join our growing team. Core working hours are 9:00am -17.00pm Mon- Thurs, and 9.00am - 16.00pm on Friday.

To be successful in this role you will occasionally be required to work some evenings and weekends.

This is a community-based role and a full clean driving licence and access to a car is essential as this role requires travel.

We are seeking applicants with 1-year previous experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting.

The Role:

• Be responsible for your own dedicated geographical region of North Dublin.
• Be responsible for managing all aspects of your clients care.
• Carrying out duties such as service reviews, updating care plans, conducting risk assessments.
• Ensuring we are delivering the highest quality standard of care to our clients.
• Ongoing support to our care team through supervision, competency reviews and staff engagement.
• Work closely with scheduling team regarding capacity in each area.
• Working with own initiative and reporting to the Care Manager.

Requirements

• 1 year's previous experience in a supervisory role in home care/healthcare setting required.
• Full clean driving licence with access to your own car.
• QQI Level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare related field or equivalent. QQI Level 6 is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and busy office environment
• Superb organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
• Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative and work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in addition to the ability to work independently and manage own time.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Fluent English speaker and permission to work full time in Ireland
