Job summary

Team Horizon is seeking a Clerk of Works for building and refurbishment projects in Cork. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality at handover, assisting engineers on site works and coordinating M&E and electrical systems according to project specifications.

Key duties include reviewing drawings, maintaining records, reporting progress, and liaising with Local Authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Recognized apprenticeship in building/construction.
• Five years supervisory and practical experience on complex building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Report to Design Team and Project Manager; liaise with Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure works are carried out per drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Record and report progress, variations, and dayworks; maintain diary.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely installation of M&E and other services.
• Attend design team and site meetings; prepare progress reports for the Architects and Estates team.
• Oversee on-site supervision to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Identify potential conflicts between M&E and structure; support constructability reviews.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
