Job summary

Eurofins is hiring for a full-time lab cleaning role in a Food Testing laboratory. The role runs 39 hours per week with specific start/end times, and requires duties such as waste management, cleaning and sanitising lab consumables, and maintaining high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe environment.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in industrial cleaning or cleaning roles, be able to work as part of a team, and possess good communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of general waste, recycling, cardboard and food waste from designated lab areas.
• Ensure waste streams are segregated correctly and disposed of per quality, environmental and health and safety requirements.
• Clean, wash, sanitise and store laboratory consumables including glassware and containers.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across all lab areas to keep spaces tidy and safe.
• Identify and report housekeeping, maintenance or safety concerns.

Job Description

This role will be working within a Food Testing laboratory to ensure the premises is kept in a clean and tidy manner.

This is a full time role working 39 hours per week - Monday 09:30-18:00 and Tuesday to Friday 10:45 - 19:00.

• Responsible for the collection and disposal of general waste, recycling, cardboard and food waste from all designated laboratory areas in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring waste streams are segregated correctly and disposed of in compliance with quality, environmental and health and safety requirements.
• Responsible for the cleaning, washing, sanitising and storage of laboratory consumables, including glassware, containers and other reusable laboratory items.
• Responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout all laboratory areas, ensuring workspaces, corridors, storage areas and communal areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Responsible for identifying and reporting housekeeping, maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning is preferable.
• Experience in a cleaning role.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good communications skills.
