Eurofins Scientific is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative for our Food Testing laboratory in Ireland. You will help keep the premises clean, tidy and safe, handling waste disposal and maintaining high housekeeping standards across all lab areas.

The role is 39 hours per week, Monday 09:30-18:00 and Tue-Fri 10:45-19:00, requiring good teamwork and clear communication. We offer progression and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning is preferable.
• Experience in a cleaning role.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Collection and disposal of general waste, recycling, cardboard and food waste from all designated laboratory areas in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
• Ensure waste streams are segregated correctly and disposed of in compliance with quality, environmental and health and safety requirements.
• Cleaning, washing, sanitising and storage of laboratory consumables, including glassware, containers and other reusable items.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout laboratory areas; keep workspaces, corridors, storage areas and communal areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Identify and report housekeeping, maintenance or safety concerns.

Job Description

This role will be working within a Food Testing laboratory to ensurethe premises is kept in a clean and tidy manner.

This is a full time role working 39 hours per week -Monday 09:30-18:00 and Tuesday to Friday 10:45 - 19:00.

• Responsible for the cleaning, washing, sanitising and storage of laboratory consumables, including glassware, containers and other reusable laboratory items.
• Responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout all laboratory areas, ensuring workspaces, corridors, storage areas and communal areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Responsible for identifying and reporting housekeeping, maintenance or safety concerns.
