About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Structural Engineer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of structural projects across industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for producing structural designs, technical calculations, reports, and BIM models while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. This role offers a flexible remote-working arrangement within Ireland, combined with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, and foundation systems.
- Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
- Create and review structural models using Tekla Structures and/or Tekla Structural Designer.
- Design and verify steel connections using IDEA StatiCa.
- Ensure designs comply with Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and client-specific standards.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, civil engineers, MEP designers, contractors, and project managers.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, client meetings, and technical workshops.
- Support projects through concept, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Review drawings and models for accuracy, quality, and constructability.
- Carry out structural surveys and generate associated reports
- Assist in mentoring graduate engineers and technicians.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 8) or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Membership of Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional body.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is desirable.
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in structural engineering consultancy or design environments.
- Experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
- Experience delivering structural calculations, reports, and engineering packages.
- Exposure to industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial, infrastructure, or energy projects would be advantageous.
Technical Skills
