Job summary

Vickerstock are recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer for roles across the South West of Ireland. You will receive high-class training, visit sites, supervise subcontractors, and contribute to quality and project delivery.

This role offers hands-on experience in site supervision, quality checks, and documentation, with software exposure to AutoCAD, Procore, and Aconex to support project delivery and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field (your placement year counts!)
• Full Irish or UK Driving Licence
• The right to work in Ireland
• The ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland

Responsibilities

Vickerstock are working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit Graduate and Junior Engineers across the South West of Ireland

Location: Cork, Kerry, Limerick and surrounding areas

Role: Graduate Civil Engineer

Your new role

As a Graduate Engineer you will work across and receive high-class training and education across the below areas:

• Site Supervision - including the supervision of subcontractors
• Quality - including quality checks, inspections, documentation and processes
• Project Management - taking part in progress meetings, project management documentation, ensuring projects are on time, on schedule and on budget
• Construction Software & Processes - using software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex, TotalStation & more

You will:

• Visit sites across the South West of Ireland
• Supervise subcontractors
• Review works on site and report back to management
• Perform quality checks
• Ensure regular documentation is completed
• Work on upgrades and maintenance to Water and Waste water plants and infrastructure

What you'll need to be successful
