Job summary

Vickerstock are recruiting for Graduate and Junior Civil Engineers to support a large Water & Wastewater project across the South West of Ireland. Based in Munster, accommodation is provided Monday to Friday to assist relocation and site integration.

You will gain hands-on experience in site supervision, quality checks, documentation, and project management while using AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex and TotalStation, growing your skills in a fast-paced contractor environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of practical experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field (your placement year counts).
• Experience in Water, Wastewater, Utilities or Public Roads.
• A full Irish or UK Driving Licence.
• The right to work in Ireland or Northern Ireland indefinitely - Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
• The ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Site Supervision - including the supervision of subcontractors, ensuring works are completed according to company standards
• Quality - including quality checks, inspections, documentation and processes
• Project Management - taking part in progress meetings, project management documentation, ensuring projects are on time, on schedule and on budget
• Construction Software & Processes - using software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex, TotalStation & more
• Work on a large-scale Water & Wastewater project in Munster
• Supervise subcontractors
• Review works on site and report back to management
• Perform quality checks
• Ensure regular documentation is completed
• Work on upgrades and maintenance to Water and Wastewater Plants and infrastructure

Your new role
