Job summary

Design Build Search, Ireland's leading civil engineering contractor, seeks a Project Planner/Programmer for Dublin Airport. You will work alongside a senior programmer and gain experience on high value projects while developing through structured progression.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, plus on-site planning experience and strong English communication. Training in planning software will be provided, with opportunities to contribute to RAMS, lift plans

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Ideally 2 years of civil engineering contracting experience on site.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Familiarity with planning software such as Microsoft Project, P6, or Asta Powerproject, as well as AutoCAD and BIM software, is a distinct advantage. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Plan for upcoming projects including organisation of required plant, personnel and subcontractors.
  • Preparation of site documentation including RAMS, lift plans, Inspection Test Plan.
  • Ensure projects are being complete on time and under budget.
  • Manage company fleet and equipment ensuring it is well maintained.
  • Manage site personnel and oversee performance.
  • Ensure inhouse applications for tracking equipment, personnel and HSE reporting are up to date.
  • Assist in preparing financial proposals for future projects, track project expenditure during execution and optimise where possible.
  • Provide technical and commercial guidance to engineers and site staff as necessary.
  • Oversee projects and ensure successful delivery.
  • Liaise with the our clients team and administrative staff to ensure the day to day running of the operations

Design Build Search are working with one of Irelands leading civil engineering contractors. Due to successfully securing new projects they have an opportunity for project planner/programmer at Dublin airport. Within this position you will work alongside a senior programmer and gain experience on high value projects. This position will over the successful applicant structured career progression.
