Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks a Civil Engineering Technician to join the Dublin team, supporting delivery of transport, drainage and site development projects across Ireland. The role offers exposure to major infrastructure with opportunities for technical and professional growth.

You will produce detailed civil drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, assist engineers, and coordinate with other disciplines in a collaborative, hybrid work environment with ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as Civil Engineering Technician.
• Strong civil engineering and technical design knowledge.
• Experience with drainage and water supply design.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and site layouts.

Job description

Leading Irish multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join its growing Dublin team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Technician to work alongside a highly regarded civil engineering team delivering major infrastructure and development projects across Ireland.

The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across transport, rail, active travel, drainage, water and site development, with excellent opportunities for continued technical and professional development.

Projects:

• Major rail and public transport infrastructure
• Roads and active travel schemes
• Urban infrastructure and public realm projects
• Drainage and water infrastructure

• Residential and mixed-use developments
• Greenways and sustainable transport projects

The Role:

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and design documentation
• Work alongside Civil Engineers on the design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects
• Assist with drainage and water supply system design
• Produce site layouts, levels, road and infrastructure drawings
• Develop designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Coordinate drawings and technical information with other engineering disciplines
• Ensure design outputs meet relevant technical and quality standards

Requirements:

• 3+years’ experience in a Civil Engineering Technician role
• Strong civil engineering and technical design knowledge
• Experience with drainage and water supply design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Civil 3D experience is highly advantageous
• Experience in site level and/or road design is advantageous
