Job summary

FTWorkforce is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a three-year residential development project based in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The role focuses on setting out, site supervision and ensuring work meets drawings and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a Civil Engineer or Site Engineer role, ideally within residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of setting out, levels, surveying and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in relevant surveying equipment and engineering tools.
• Good understanding of construction methods, quality control and site health and safety.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a project team.
• Full right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Set out and oversee civil engineering works in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out in line with approved designs and engineering standards.
• Monitor levels, dimensions and alignment to ensure accuracy of works.
• Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and other trades to maintain project progress.
• Review construction drawings and identify any discrepancies or technical issues.
• Carry out site inspections and maintain accurate engineering records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and relevant quality standards.
• Assist with planning, scheduling and resolving technical challenges on site.
• Monitor materials, workmanship and completed works to ensure they meet project specifications.
• Report progress and raise any issues that may affect programme, quality or delivery.

Job Description

FTWorkforce is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer to join a three-year residential development project based in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of a residential construction project, working alongside site management, subcontractors and other construction professionals to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

We are looking for a technically capable and organised individual with strong site engineering skills and experience in civil engineering or residential construction.
