ProSource Group in Waterford is recruiting a Civil Design & Senior Civil Engineer for our client, a leading Irish design consultancy working on civil, structural and environmental projects. The role is based in our Waterford office with hybrid working options.

You will contribute to delivering high-quality civil engineering outputs, working with project managers and senior engineers, and developing skills in BIM, AutoCAD 3D, and Civil 3D through mentoring and structured professional development.

Formación

• Degree: Level 8 Honours in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3–6+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D.
• Willingness to develop BIM skills (Revit) and 3D CAD.
• Familiarity with Public Works Contract forms PW-CF.
• Collaborative problem-solving approach.

Responsabilidades

• Support project delivery in collaboration with Project Managers and senior engineers.
• Liaise with clients under the direction of Project Managers to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Prepare and review preliminary design reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Review design work by Graduate Engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Produce designs using AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D; develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and BIM (Revit).
• Assist with procurement and administration of Site Investigation, Building, and Civil Engineering contracts.
• Contribute to tender documentation, tender assessments, and cost evaluations.
• Support contract administration to align works with design intent, programme and budget.
• Work with line management and project teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

ProSource are recruiting for a Civil Design & Senior Civil Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading Irish design consultancy working on civil, structural and environmental projects, for a role in their Waterford office.

Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting project delivery in collaboration with Project Managers and senior engineers
• Liaising with clients under the direction of Project Managers to achieve successful project outcomes
• Preparing and reviewing preliminary design reports, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
• Reviewing design work prepared by Graduate Engineers and providing technical guidance
• Producing designs using AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D, with opportunities to develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and BIM platforms such as Revit
• Assisting with the procurement and administration of Site Investigation, Building, and Civil Engineering contracts
• Contributing to tender documentation, tender assessments, and cost evaluations
• Supporting contract administration to ensure works align with design intent, programme, and budget
• Working closely with line management and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering outputs

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• Typically 3-6+ years' relevant post-graduate experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and experience working with Civil 3D
• An interest in developing skills in BIM (Autodesk Revit), AutoCAD 3D, and other engineering software
• Working knowledge of Public Works Contract forms (PW-CF) and construction contract administration
• A strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
