DataAnnotation is seeking a Chinese Expert to judge and correct AI output in Chinese, teaching models to write as native readers would expect. You will review English-Chinese translations, rate model outputs for tone and accuracy, and rewrite content so it reads naturally in Chinese rather than as translated text.

The role emphasizes native fluency, attention to register across Simplified and Traditional text, and clear English explanations to guide training data.

Overview

AI can string together grammatical Mandarin and still read as foreign: it fumbles measure words, reaches for stiff textbook phrasing, and drops idioms like chengyu at the wrong pitch. A native reader is who notices when Simplified and Traditional conventions get crossed, or when the tone quietly turns into a manual.

As a Chinese Expert, you'll judge and correct AI output in Chinese, teaching models to write the way people actually read and speak.

Compensation

Up to $40/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $100k–$200k a year; some make it their full-time income.
