Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is currently recruiting Social care Workers for a Children’s Residential Service in Meath. The successful candidate will be based in a community residential setting, caring for children aged up to 18 years.

This is a full time position, requiring day and overnight shifts. Responsibilities include developing and implementing Care and Placement Plans, promoting the rights and welfare of each child, liaising with families and services, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• CORU recognition or full CORU registration required.
• Experience with young people or residential care preferred.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
• Experience with challenging behaviours and understanding of therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans.
• Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person within the centre.
• Promoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young person.
• Family and other service liaison.
• Adhering to policies and procedures.
• Report Writing and documentation.
• Attend regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / Manager.
