Job summary

Medforce is seeking a Staff Grade Psychologist to deliver psychological assessment, intervention, and support for children and young people with complex disabilities and developmental needs. Qualifications

• University degree with Psychology as a major and honours.
• Irish post-graduate psychology qualification accredited by the PSI in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.
• Equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments for children and young people with developmental, behavioral, emotional, or learning needs.
• Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions under guidance from senior psychologists.
• Provide consultation and advice to families, carers, and staff regarding children’s psychological and developmental needs.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning with education, health, and social care professionals.
• Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and records in line with professional standards and policies.
• Participate in supervision and professional development to enhance clinical skills and service delivery.
• Support service evaluation, quality improvement, and safeguarding adherence.
