Job summary

The Hoxton Dublin is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all facilities and equipment across the hotel. You will manage the budget, stock, safety procedures, and on-site contractor activity while leading a high-energy team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

We require strong building management skills, MEP experience, and a proven track record in leadership, cost control and health & safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in building management and MEP systems.
• Strong focus on health & safety compliance and risk assessments.
• Proven ability to manage stock, budgets and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities and equipment across the hotel.
• Manage budgets and stock levels to align with guidelines.
• Lead the on-site team and contractors to deliver high service levels.
• Ensure fire safety equipment is tested and maintained.
• Coordinate quotations for maintenance work and projects.
• Cover shift engineer shifts when required.
• Drive improvements to processes and procedures.

The Hoxton has opened its very first hotel in Ireland in the beautiful capital city of Dublin. This coastal city is steeped in history, packed with green parks and brought to life through music, art and the best social eating and drinking. The Hoxton, Dublin is home to 129 bedrooms of varying sizes, a lobby bar & restaurant, a historic bar, Cantina Valentina, our large ground floor restaurant and The Dig - our unique meetings and events space.

Job Description

What you'll do…

• Responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel's facilities and equipment.
• Ensure that the maintenance budget and stock levels are controlled, ensuring that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines.
• To be fully aware, and competent in, all health and safety procedures, policies and assist with preparing all risk assessments.
• Ensure that there is an effective PPM schedules in place.
• Manage the onsite activity of all contractors.
• Order all maintenance supplies and ensure stock controls are in place.
• Maintain records of all machinery and equipment including manufacturers details, specifications, and manuals.
• Ensure that all fire safety equipment is maintained and tested in a timely manner.
• Arrange and co-ordinate quotations from suppliers in relation to maintenance work.
• Lead and manage a team of high-energy people who love our guests, by setting and monitoring goals, empowering and developing them, and creating an environment where people can be themselves.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve and enhance processes and procedures.
• To be a member of the hotel crisis and fire teams, and to be fully conversant in all related procedures.
• Pro-actively project manage any changes in policies and procedures.
• Achieve and maintain the highest possible levels of customer service to both external and internal customers, forging long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Cover shift engineer shifts as required.
