We're looking for a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team in Waterford, Ireland.   • Design, develop, and execute innovative menus that reflect culinary expertise while considering seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and organizational goals
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control across all service periods
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and support to foster a collaborative and motivated team environment
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, plating, and presentation standards
  • Manage kitchen inventory, monitor food costs, and make strategic purchasing decisions to optimize budget efficiency without compromising quality
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations, food handling protocols, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain meticulous organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to continuously improve menu offerings and culinary techniques
  • Collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff, management, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Train and develop kitchen staff, sharing culinary knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Manage kitchen setup, breakdown, and daily operations to ensure efficiency and smooth service execution
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances, peak service demands, and operational challenges while maintaining quality and composure
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as a Chef or in a senior culinary leadership position in a professional kitchen environment
  • Advanced culinary skills and comprehensive expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary innovation
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and sanitation protocols
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities with experience training and developing kitchen staff
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment and tools
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain resilient under pressure during peak service times
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and supportive approach
  • Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality and consistency
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Inventory management and purchasing experienceCreative thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement
  • Preferred: Experience with European or Irish cuisine
  • Preferred: Background in menu development and culinary innovation
  • Preferred: Experience managing kitchen operations and coordinating staff across multiple stations
