Job summary

Meinhardt UK and Ireland is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer to lead major structural projects from design to delivery in Dublin. You will manage client relationships, develop staff, and contribute to the commercial performance of the business.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience in consulting, Chartered status, and a deep understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes and BIM workflows. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status through EI/IStructE/ICE.
Typically 8–12 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
Based in Ireland with strong understanding of the Irish construction market.
Proven experience leading structural design projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and Building Regulations.
Experience using structural analysis/design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary project teams from concept design to construction completion.
Perform and oversee structural analysis and design per codes and standards.
Direct and supervise engineers, designers and BIM technicians.
Review calculations, reports, drawings and technical submissions.
Develop innovative and cost‑effective structural solutions.
