Job summary

CPL Group is seeking a Chartered Land Surveyor to join our Dublin team, servicing Ireland’s renewable energy sector. The role focuses on securing land agreements and delivering projects from landowner engagement through to legal completion.

The ideal candidate has experience in renewable energy or land/property sectors, understands landowner challenges, and can coordinate with legal professionals while negotiating contracts. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in renewable energy, land, agricultural or property sectors with a Level 8 qualification.
  • Understanding of issues facing landowners.
  • Experience interacting with legal professionals.
  • Commercial negotiation experience.
  • Strong communication and social skills.
  • Demonstrated determination, flexibility, foresight and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency with maps; GIS experience a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • IT proficiency including MS Office.
  • PSRA Licence Qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Secure land agreements for renewable energy projects.
  • Engage landowners from initial contact to legal completion.
  • Coordinate with legal professionals to progress agreements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with landowners.
  • Provide project updates and maintain stakeholder engagement.

Job description

My client a growing UK Consultancy involved in Energy, Infrastructure, Rail and Residential projects have an upcoming role for an experienced Chartered Land Surveyor to be based inDublin.

The purpose of the role is to service our growing client base in Ireland with securing land agreements for renewable energy projects, project managing the delivery of same from initial landowner engagement to the completion of the required legal agreements. Typically, each project requires management of numerous landowner agreements. In the role the Chartered Land Surveyor will need to find the balance between navigating typical issues that come with land, properties, while making sustained and significant project progress for our clients.

The technical requirements for renewable energy projects are key, and our land managers become the interface between ensuring that the landowners are interested and the land is respected while the project requirements are met.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Professional experience in renewable energy, land, agricultural or property sector(s) with a level 8 qualification in same or similar
  • An understanding and experience of typical issues facing landowners
  • Experience of interacting with legal professionals
  • Commercial negotiation experience
  • Communication and social skills
  • Determination, flexibility, foresight, and strategic thinking
  • Proficiency in using maps. (GIS experience would be a plus but isn’t essential.)
  • Ability to travel
  • IT, including MS office
  • PSRA Licence Qualified
