Our client, a leading civil and transportation consultancy, is seeking a Chartered Engineer to join their growing team in Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on diverse road, safety, and transport projects, while taking on senior responsibilities within a dynamic consultancy environment.

Role Overview

You will take a senior engineering role within the team, working under the direction of Directors and senior colleagues. The position will focus on road safety audits, inspections, and traffic management, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and carry out inspections on Temporary Traffic Management schemes
• Complete Temporary Safety Measures Inspection Reports
• Manage and carry out Road Safety Inspections
• Lead and participate in Road Safety Audits as Team Member or Team Leader

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer status (minimum)
• Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (accredited by Engineers Ireland or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in civil/roads/transportation projects
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Full driving licence

Desirable Skills

• Certificate in Temporary Traffic Management Design (Level 1 & 2 Roads) and Inspection
• IOSH Managing Safely in Construction training
• Familiarity with TII Publications, Traffic Signs Manual, and Irish H&S legislation (including Construction Regulations)
