Job summary

Giraffe Childcare Limited is seeking an experienced Centre Manager to oversee daily operations of the creche and lead the staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education in line with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a Level 6 QQI in Early Childhood Care and Education, at least five years’ childcare experience and two years in a management role, plus a valid EU driving licence.

Qualifications

• A minimum of FETAC / QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
• A minimum of five years in the childcare field and at least two years in a management role within the sector.
• Full clean EU driver's licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Ability to liaise with parents and families and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and manage daily Centre operations to ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children.
• Demonstrate knowledge of children's age-appropriate holistic needs and development.
• Raise standards in early learning and model best practice.
• Implement REACH curriculum aligned with Aistear and Siolta frameworks.
• Enforce company policies, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead on people and business management across all aspects of the role.
• Ensure compliance with Children First guidelines and protect children.
• Lead development and evaluation of programs and activities for culturally sensitive learning.
