Job Description – Centre Manager
LeisureWorld have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager to join our team.
- Pay: €42,000.00 per year
- Full time positions required, 39 hours p/w
- Location - LW Group (LeisureWorld Bishopstown & LeisureWorld Churchfield)(we are looking for two candidates)
Key Responsibilities:
The Centre Manager is responsible for running one LeisureWorld site safely and professionally day to day. You are the main site manager for normal operations. You are responsible for keeping the building safe, organised, clean, properly staffed and ready for customers. You lead Duty Managers, Shift Supervisors, Department Supervisors, and the wider site team, deal with problems early, manage staff performance and make practical decisions within your authority. You report to the Operations Manager and know when a significant safety, people, financial or operational issue needs to be escalated.
Your goal is to make sure your site runs safely, smoothly and consistently. That means:
- Customers feel welcome, safe and respected.
- Staff know what they are doing and what standard is expected.
- The building is clean, organised, staffed and ready for use.
- Health and safety procedures are followed.
- People and performance issues are dealt with properly.
- Incidents and complaints are followed through.
- Rosters and staffing match the needs of the site.
- Problems are escalated before they become bigger issues.
You will work with:
- Operations Manager
- Duty Managers
- Department Supervisors
- Shift Supervisors and managers across the LeisureWorld sites
- Reception Team
- Lifeguards and Swim Teachers
- Gym Team
- Cleaning and Support staff
- Customers, parents, guardians, contractors and members of the public
You will:
- Act as the day-to-day operational lead for your assigned site.
- Make sure management cover, opening, operating and closing arrangements are in place.
- Check that the building is safe, clean, staffed and ready for customers. Keep an eye on busyareas, queues, pool use, gym use, lessons, clubs and changing rooms.
- Set priorities and move staff or resources when the operation needs it.
- Make practical site-level decisions within your role and authority.
- Follow up problems and make sure agreed actions are completed.
- Escalate significant or unresolved issues to the Operations Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in leisure or retail an advantage.
- A proven track record of leading and motivating a team.
- A passion for delivering customer experience above and beyond customers’ expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic & self-motivated.
