Job summary

Vital Ireland in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, is seeking a reliable cleaner for a permanent role within the Community Care Services team. You will unload, decontaminate and clean equipment, and test items; arrange repairs as required to maintain readiness.

You should have experience in a similar service environment, be IT literate, flexible and able to work well under pressure. Shift work and out-of-hours coverage are required, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, ideally in a service environment.
• Experience in a busy warehouse environment, i.e. goods in, pick, pack and dispatch operations.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Unload, decontaminate and clean equipment.
• Test equipment and, as needed, arrange repairs.
• Ensure returned equipment is cleaned, tested and identified for repair or maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and high technique levels in the facility.
• Comply with operating procedures, EHS and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams as necessary.
• Attend internal and external training courses; shifts and out-of-hours work may be required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The cleaner will be responsible for the unloading, decontamination and cleaning of equipment. In addition you will be required to test and, as needed, ensure repair is carried out.

• Ensure returned equipment is cleaned and tested in accordance with procedures and identified for repair or maintenance as appropriate.
• Complete all documentation accurately and ensure tasks are in compliance with appropriate procedures and company and EHS regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that housekeeping standards and excellent techniques are practiced, within the facility at all times, and maintained to a very high standard.
• Carry out all activities in compliance with company, EHS & regulatory, quality and customer site regulations/requirements.
• Participate in Cross-Functional teams, as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all operating procedures
• Participate in Emergency Response/Fire/First Aid teams as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally have:
