Job summary

Iona Resource Centre is seeking a CE General Assistant to support the Chef and Kitchen Assistant in the canteen within its day service. Training will be provided to help you develop in the catering field and to support people with disabilities access the day service.

Ideal candidates should have a caring nature, enjoy helping others, and be willing to engage in training, with driving license preferred. A Garda vetting application may be required.

Qualifications

• Caring nature and enjoyment in supporting people.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to engage in training and complete HACCP qualification.
• Driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking lunch service in the canteen.
• Assisting the chef and kitchen staff in safe canteen operation (HACCP guidelines).
• Providing sight-guiding support for service users.
• Socialising with service users during service hours.
