Job summary

The Irish Times at Citywest, Dublin 24, is seeking a reliable mailroom operative with experience in operating mailroom equipment and handling related machinery. The role includes assisting printers and electricians, maintaining clean work areas, and preparing reels.

You will be trained on Citywest machinery and equipment and must be prepared for additional duties as assigned by supervisors. This is an experienced non-managerial position based at the Dublin site.

Qualifications

• Operation of mailroom equipment including inserting and trimming equipment.
• Use of forklift and flexi-roll trucks as required.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Completion of records as required by supervisor.
• Assistance to printers, fitters and electricians as needed.
• Training in relation to Citywest machinery and equipment.
• Preparation of reels and reel-stand operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate mailroom machinery and related equipment.
• Utilise forklift and flexi-roll trucks as needed.
• Clean and remove waste to maintain tidy work areas.
• Accurately complete records as directed.
• Assist printers, fitters and electricians when required.
• Participate in training for Citywest machinery.

• Perform any other duties as allocated by team leader or managers.

Job Description

Main accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Operation of all mailroom equipment including inserting and trimming equipment

• Cleaning and removal of waste to ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy
• The completion of all records as required by your supervisor
• Assisting printers, fitters and electricians as required
• Training in relation to all Citywest machinery and equipment
• Preparation of reels and all reel-stand operations
• Such further or other duties as may be allocated by your Team Leader / Supervisors / Managers from time to time
