Job summary

Brosnan Property Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join its property maintenance and refurbishment team. The role covers reactive maintenance, first- and second-fix carpentry, and upgrades across residential and commercial properties, with an emphasis on safety and workmanship.

The position is based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, with works across Munster. A valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling certification, and a full Irish driving licence are required for this on-site, full-time

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in carpentry, construction, property maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong first-fix and second-fix carpentry skills.
  • Valid Safe Pass certification.
  • Valid Manual Handling certification.
  • Full clean driving licence valid in Ireland.
  • Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to carrying out varied property maintenance works.
  • Authorised to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general carpentry repairs and property maintenance works
  • Complete first-fix and second-fix carpentry
  • Repair, adjust and replace doors, frames, locks, hinges, handles and ironmongery
  • Carry out repairs and adjustments to windows and associated fittings
  • Install stud partitions, plasterboard, timber trims, skirting boards and architraves
  • Complete general joinery and making-good works
  • Assist with refurbishment, renovation and property upgrade projects
  • Carry out minor general maintenance works where required
  • Identify defects and determine appropriate repair solutions
  • Work across residential, commercial and social housing properties
  • Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, property managers and office staff
  • Provide accurate updates on job progress and any additional works identified
  • Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company health and safety procedures and to a high standard of workmanship

About the Role

Brosnan Property Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing property maintenance and refurbishment team. This is a varied, hands‑on role involving reactive maintenance, carpentry repairs, refurbishment projects and general property upgrades across residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be expected to complete carpentry and associated maintenance works safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining a professional and respectful approach when working in clients’ and tenants’ properties.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements
