Job summary

CareChoice Group Ireland is seeking a reliable Multitast Assistant for our Dungarvan Home to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards across the home. You will assist with daily cleaning of resident areas and kitchens, manage laundry, and support meal tray setup while upholding safe work practices.

The role offers a friendly, supportive team, induction training, and opportunities for development in a caring environment. Shift patterns vary across weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous practical experience in similar environment is desirable but not essential.
• Passion about elder care and providing residents with a safe, clean environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
• Comfortable working in a sometimes challenging environment.
• Good level of English language skills.
• Availability to work varied shift patterns, Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of general areas and residents' rooms in the nursing home.
• Proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and solutions.
• Collection and correct disposal of domestic waste.
• Clean spillages promptly and use wet signs appropriately.
• Wash, dry and iron all personal and household laundry in a timely manner.
• Collect trays, operate dishwasher and maintain a clean kitchen area.
• Wash crockery and cutlery as required.
• Set up trays for meals and ensure a safe working environment.
• Rotational/flexible shifts according to home needs.
