Job summary

CareChoice Group Ireland is seeking Part-Time/ Full-Time Healthcare Assistants for our Dungarvan Nursing home. This role offers a supportive environment with experienced professionals and opportunities for development within an expanding group.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal care, nutrition, mobility, and End of Life care, while maintaining dignity and high standards. QQI/FETAC qualification or relevant care experience is expected, with varied shifts including days,

Qualifications

• QQI/FETAC qualification OR relevant experience in a similar environment.
• Practical experience in a caring capacity is desirable.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
• Comfortable working in a sometimes challenging environment.
• Good level of English language skills.
• Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to residents.
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining dignity.
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with nutrition needs.
• Assisting residents with mobilising and using correct aids.
• Escort or transfer residents as directed by Nursing staff.
• Assisting in End of Life Care.
• Carrying out other duties as directed by nurse and management.
