Job summary

Horizons - Cope Foundation in Cork Communities is seeking Care Assistants for Day services, Training Centres, Day Services and Community Hubs in Cork. The role supports people in moving from training settings to day services and community hubs, fostering personal development and active participation.

Applicants should hold a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare/Intellectual Disability and have strong IT, communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare/Intellectual Disability (8 modules completed).
• Familiarity with New Directions, ADMA and UNCRPD guidance.
• Good IT skills and ability to use basic software.

Responsibilities

• Support people in transition from training centres to day services/community hubs.
• Work in Horizons Training Centres, Day Services or Community Day Hubs.
• Engage with individuals to promote participation and personal development.
