Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Canteen Assistant to support kitchen operations, maintain food quality, and uphold HACCP standards across our hotel properties in Ireland. You will work under the Head Chef, ensuring clean back-of-house areas and efficient service during shifts, including mornings and weekends.

We promote from within and provide Dalata Academy programmes for development, with exposure to senior team members for mentorship and career growth within our expanding hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotels or similar role.
• A passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Flexibility in working hours (mornings, evenings, weekends).
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Capability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from department managers and assist in monitoring food quality and hygiene standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the back-of-house areas at all times.
• Follow the Head Chef's example of excellence and efficiency.
• Always adhere to HACCP regulations.
• Support your fellow kitchen staff in maintaining proper hygiene systems during food preparation and storage.
