Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Canteen Assistant to support hospitality operations in Ireland. You will take direction from department managers and help monitor food quality, hygiene and service in kitchen and staff areas.

This role offers growth through Dalata Academy programmes with mentoring and internal opportunities. Flexibility for mornings, evenings and weekends is required in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotels or similar role.
• Passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Flexible hours including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from department managers and assist in monitoring food quality and hygiene standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the back-of-house areas at all times.
• Follow the Head Chef's example of excellence and efficiency.
• Always adhere to HACCP regulations.
• Support your fellow kitchen staff in maintaining proper hygiene systems during food preparation and storage.
