Job summary

Emerald Airlines is hiring a Continuing Airworthiness Engineer (Powerplant) based at our Head Office in Dublin. You will review OEM docs, ADs and SBs, investigate fleet issues, and work with OEMs and regulators on technical matters.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or EASA Part 66 B2) and at least 3 years’ CAMO/airworthiness experience, with strong organization and communication skills to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, or hold EASA Part 66 B2 Type License.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering or CAMO.
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations.
  • Experience in a Continuing Airworthiness environment.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines across multiple tasks.
  • Team player with proactive problem-solving.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate OEM documentation, airworthiness directives, service bulletins and modifications/STCs.
  • Investigate fleet reliability and safety issues.
  • Analyze reliability data to identify trends and implement solutions.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and third parties on reliability matters.
  • Take ownership of projects to streamline processes within the engineering department.
  • Support aircraft delivery and redelivery programmes.
  • Liaise with OEMs, Type Certificate Holders, regulators and maintenance/repair organisations on technical issues.
  • Support investigations of safety-related occurrences and provide updates.
  • Provide technical support to line and heavy maintenance and other internal departments.

Job description

We are delighted to confirm that we are seeking applications for the position of Continuing Airworthiness Engineer (Powerplant). Based at Head Office, Hangar 5, Dublin Airport and reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluation of aircraft/equipment OEM documentation, airworthiness directives, service bulletins and modifications/STCs.

  • Liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers, Type Certificate Holders, Regulatory Bodies and maintenance and repair organisations regarding technical issues.
  • Support investigations of safety related occurrences/incidents or accidents and provide updates and recommendations on the status of these events and safety reports.
  • Provide technical support to line and heavy maintenance and other internal departments where required.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent or hold an EASA Part 66 B2 Type License.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering or in a CAMO environment essential.
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations.
  • Experience in a Continuing Airworthiness environment.
  • Be very well organised with good attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable working to strict deadlines on multiple tasks and projects as part of a team.
  • Take responsibility for tasks, with the ability to see projects through to fruition.
  • Lateral thinker who can identify areas of potential improvement and provide solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and comfortable learning new systems.
