Job summary

La Rousse Foods Ltd in Dublin is seeking a proactive Buyer to optimize our product flow, secure timely, full orders, and manage costs. You will coordinate daily/weekly purchasing, maintain stock across fresh, ambient, and frozen categories, and build lasting supplier relationships while focusing on KPIs such as missed sales and waste.

Experience in procurement or supply chain is advantageous, and proficiency with Word and Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in procurement or supply chain is an advantage.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Second language gives a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process daily and weekly purchase orders through preferred vendors to ensure on-time, complete orders.
• Maintain stock across fresh, ambient, and frozen categories to fulfil customer orders with minimal waste.
• Monitor KPI indicators such as missed sales and waste to optimize performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and pricing.

We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in La Rousse Foods

Key Responsibilities:

To optimize the flow of products so as to fill all orders on time, resulting in maximum sales, whist ensuring all related costs are kept to a minimum.

1. Ordering: Process daily and weekly purchase order requirements through set of preferred vendors to ensure all orders are placed correctly, on time and in full

2. Stock management: Ensure stock (Fresh, Ambient, Frozen categories) is available to fulfil all customer orders, without excess.

3. Key performance indicators:

   1. Missed sales

   2. Wastes

4. Suppliers relationship:

• Negotiate best credit terms and prices (fully integrated – supplier & transport)

• Market awareness

• Build long term relationships with suppliers

Key competencies

• Good knowledge of the food distribution sector – fresh / frozen / dry goods.

• Strong Organizational and Planning skills.

• Ability to focus and prioritize tasks.
