Leonid Group is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Irish R&D Tax practice. You will own new business growth across Ireland, build your own pipeline, and develop strong client relationships. The role offers autonomy, a strong base salary and lucrative commissions within a growing market.

You will identify opportunities, lead client meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and ensure a smooth handover to delivery teams, while representing the firm at industry events.

The Opportunity

Leonid Group has been retained by a leading international R&D Tax consultancy to appoint a Business Development Manager for their Irish business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established consultancy and take ownership of new business growth across the Irish market. You’ll work with a phenomenal team while having the autonomy to build your own pipeline, develop client relationships and play a key and visible role in growing the business.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities across relevant sectors, from initial prospecting through to securing new client relationships.

Your focus will include:

• Self-generating new business through networking, referrals, prospecting, cold outreach and other BD activity
• Building and managing a strong pipeline of opportunities through to conversion
• Leading meetings with prospective clients, understanding their needs and identifying relevant opportunities
• Preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts and securing new business
• Developing strong, long-term client relationships and supporting high client renewal rates
• Working closely with internal delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover and positive client experience
• Representing the business at industry events, networking opportunities and client meetings

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a proven commercial track record and the motivation to work in a developing market with significant opportunity for growth.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in business development and new business sales. A background in R&D Tax or Innovation Incentives would be highly beneficial, although we’d also love to hear from candidates with a strong professional services background
• The enthusiasm, commercial awareness and relationship-building skills to develop a market, build a strong network and take ownership of new business growth
