Job summary

HCS in Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow the customer base across Ireland. You will identify opportunities, engage prospective customers and present solutions that deliver real business value.

Working alongside our technical and customer success teams, you will expand HCS's reach with managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, AI and digital transformation offerings to market. This growth-focused role offers strong earning potential through a competitive commission package.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in Business Development, or a similar role in IT, technology.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new customer opportunities through networking, referrals, events, social selling, and outbound prospecting.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Arrange meetings with key decision makers including CIOs, IT Managers, Finance Directors and Managing Directors.
  • Create and deliver on account penetration plans for target prospects.
  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify organisations that align with HCS's Ideal Customer Profile.
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospective customers.
  • Understand customer challenges and position relevant HCS solutions.
  • Work with the pre-sales team to develop proposals, presentations and commercial responses.
  • Convert opportunities into long-term managed service customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders across your customer portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, supporting customers in achieving their business and technology goals.
  • Lead regular business reviews, manage renewals, uplifts, and contract discussions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting.
  • Produce weekly pipeline and activity reports.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to achieve strategic growth objectives.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions are scoped, delivered, and supported effectively.
  • Partner with support and cross-functional teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Represent HCS at customer events, vendor events and industry networking opportunities.
  • Build relationships with Microsoft, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other strategic partners.
  • Stay informed on technology trends including cybersecurity, cloud, AI and managed services.
  • Leverage this knowledge to advise customers and enhance solution proposals.

Working alongside our technical and customer success teams, you will identify opportunities, engage prospective customers and introduce solutions that deliver real business value. You\'ll be instrumental in expanding HCS\'s reach while maintaining the customer-first approach that defines our business.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging new customers within the SME and mid-market sectors. They will work closely with pre-sales, technical, and marketing teams to bring HCS\'s managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, and digital transformation offerings to market.


This is a growth-focused position with significant earning potential for someone with a growth mindset to build a strong customer portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development
