The Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Salesforce & nCino Business Analyst to support strategic business analysis and the delivery of banking and lending capabilities across the Salesforce and nCino platforms.

The role will work closely with business units to develop an in-depth understanding of business strategies, processes, services, roadmaps and operational challenges. The Business Analyst will organise and coordinate business analysis activities and document the business, functional and technical requirements needed to support new initiatives and address business challenges.

The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, internal technology teams, developers, Product Owners, vendors and third-party consultants throughout the delivery lifecycle. The role includes creating and managing JIRA user stories, coordinating cross-functional delivery activities, supporting implementation planning and ensuring alignment with project governance and SDLC requirements.

This position requires strong Salesforce and nCino experience, financial services knowledge and the ability to manage multiple initiatives while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Please note US hours coverage required (7 AM – 3 PM CT) corresponds to 1 PM – 9 PM GMT.

Your responsibilities:

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, discovery sessions, backlog refinement meetings, and solution discussions.
• Translate business requirements into well-defined JIRA Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Work closely with Salesforce and nCino development teams to clarify requirements and support solution design discussions.
• Perform impact analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, and business process optimization activities.
• Manage and maintain the product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners and delivery teams.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming sessions.
• Ensure requirements traceability from business need through development, testing, and production deployment.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), support business users during testing, and assist with defect triage and resolution.
• Track Salesforce and nCino delivery items throughout the sprint lifecycle and ensure timely closure of assigned stories.
• Prepare release documentation, Change Requests (CRs), implementation plans, deployment approvals, and release readiness artefacts.
• Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, and release management teams to ensure successful deployment of all planned release items.
• Validate release scope and ensure all approved Salesforce and nCino changes are included in the release package.
• Support production deployment activities and post-release verification.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support production incidents, root cause discussions, and enhancement requests as required.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Business Analysis experience, preferably within a financial services environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with the Salesforce CRM platform.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with the nCino loan origination system.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with JIRA.
• Experience coordinating business, functional and technical requirements across large cross-functional teams, programmes or projects.
• Experience creating and managing JIRA Epics, Features, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria throughout the SDLC.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Advanced understanding of general IT and business operations.
• Knowledge of change-management principles and performance-evaluation processes.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, internal technology teams, developers, vendors and third-party implementation partners.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, time-management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or programmes simultaneously and deliver within strict deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience within Banking, Commercial Lending, Mortgage or Financial Services.
• Knowledge of nCino loan origination and lending processes.
• Understanding of customer onboarding, underwriting, loan servicing and lending operations.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or Financial Services Cloud.
• Knowledge of regulatory, audit or compliance-driven change management processes.
• Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst or nCino certification.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams and US-based stakeholders.
