Job summary

Aviva in Dublin is seeking a Business Analyst specialising in Financial Crime and Regulatory Change. You will translate regulatory requirements into clear business outcomes and support AML initiatives across Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Technology, including Life & Pensions processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven BA experience in Financial Services with regulatory change impact.
  • Strong ability to translate regulatory requirements into business needs.
  • Experience in AML/Financial Crime or related regulatory programmes.
  • Experience delivering across Life & Pensions operations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse regulatory requirements and translate into clear business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops with Operations, Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Tech and suppliers.
  • Elicit, document and manage requirements with traceability across the lifecycle.
  • Conduct current/future state process analysis and gap assessments.
  • Support design of compliant processes and customer journeys for Life & Pensions.
  • Produce structured docs: requirements specs, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Support testing, readiness, implementation and validation activities.
  • Contribute to AML workstreams: CDD, Know Your Customer, Customer Risk Rating.

Business Analyst – Financial Crime & Regulatory Change

Location: Dublin Hybrid

Duration: 6 Months

This is a contract opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running within a complex regulatory change environment and has a strong track record of delivering Business Analysis activities across Financial Services. This role would suit an experienced Business Analyst with Life & Pensions expertise who has supported large-scale transformation or regulatory change programmes.

You'll be comfortable working across multiple stakeholder groups, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear business outcomes and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment. Experience working within AML, Financial Crime or broader regulatory change initiatives would be highly advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a strategic EU AML Regulations Programme, supporting business and operational change to ensure compliance with evolving Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and interpret regulatory requirements, translating regulatory obligations into clear business requirements and operational solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders across Operations, Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Technology and third-party suppliers.
  • Elicit, document and manage business, functional and regulatory requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis, impact assessments and gap analysis.
  • Support the design of compliant business processes and customer journeys across Life & Pensions operations.
  • Produce clear and structured documentation including requirements specifications, process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and successfully implemented.
  • Support testing, business readiness, implementation activities and requirements validation throughout delivery.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of AML-related workstreams including Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Customer Risk Rating, AML data management and customer lifecycle reviews.
  • Work within Agile and/or hybrid delivery frameworks to deliver change within agreed timescales.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Life & Pensions or a wider Financial Services environment.
  • Strong experience supporting regulatory change programmes within regulated organisations.
  • Excellent requirements elicitation, process mapping, impact assessment and gap analysis skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable documentation.
  • Demonstrable experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels across business and technology functions.
  • Experience delivering Business Analysis activities across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation and business readiness.
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a fast-paced programme environment.
  • Experience working on AML, Financial Crime or broader regulatory change programmes.
  • Knowledge of Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Risk Rating processes.
  • Experience of Life & Pensions administration platforms such as FINEOS, LiFE400 or similar systems.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes within Financial Services.
