Job summary

KEARNS COACHES in Birr, Co. Offaly is seeking a qualified Bus Driver for a full-time, permanent position based out of our Birr depot. The role offers a 39-hour weekly schedule with a salary of €36,605 per year or €18.05 per hour.

Applicants must have 2+ years of driving experience, a Level 4 qualification, and a full D/D1 licence, with English at B2 level. Successful candidates will drive safely, maintain timetables, assist passengers, and represent the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
• Level 4 qualification including Leaving Certificate/LCVP.
• Full D and D1 driving licence.
• English language level B2-Upper intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to high safety and professional standards.
• Follow pre-set routes, traffic rules, and timetables.
• Check tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel before journeys.
• Issue tickets using ticket machines and assist customers.
• Provide excellent customer service and information when required.
• Be the face of the company and assist passengers as needed.
• Maintain records of journey times, mileage and hours worked.
• May assist with loading and unloading luggage.

Fountain Dale Limited, T/A Kearns Transport are looking for Qualified and experienced Bus Drivers to join our team in Ireland. This is a full time, permanent position based out of our Birr Co. Offaly depot. Standard working week is 39 hours per week. Salary is €36,605 per year or €18.05 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• To drive the company's vehicles to the highest of standards, making sure driving is performed in a safe and professional manner.
• Drives over pre-determined route, complying with traffic regulations and keeping to time schedule.
• Checks tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle before start of journey.
• Driving in-line with a set timetable.
• Use of ticket machines and issuing tickets to customers.
• Always providing a high standard of customer service.
• Providing customers with information when required.
• Behaving in a professional but friendly way to customers at all times.
• Assisting elderly / children when required.
• Being the face of the company.
• Maintains records of journey times, mileage and hours worked.
• May assist with loading and unloading of luggage.
