Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment is seeking an HVAC/Building Services Engineer based in Dublin with travel to client and project sites. You will focus on technical requirements, ensuring equipment selections and installations meet project specifications and work alongside other building services teams.

You will collaborate with project managers, installation teams, consultants and suppliers, with regular site involvement to deliver robust, maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• Qualification in building services engineering, mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience with HVAC or mechanical building services.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand system specifications.
• Understanding of installation, commissioning and maintenance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving.
• Clear communication with technical and site teams.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
• AutoCAD, Revit experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical services drawings, specifications and equipment selections.
• Support technical calculations and system selection within your experience and competence.
• Coordinate HVAC installations with other building services and site requirements.
• Prepare and review technical submissions and respond to project queries.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Inspect installations and identify quality or performance concerns.
• Support testing, commissioning and system handover.
• Help compile operating and maintenance information and technical records.
• Identify practical opportunities to improve system performance and maintainability.
