Job summary

Roughan & O'Donovan is seeking an experienced bridge design engineer to contribute to major infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. You will join a bridge team supported by senior colleagues and work on diverse materials and structural forms, from superstructure to foundations.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering honours degree and at least three years' post-qualification experience in detailed bridge design, with strong modelling and FE analysis skills and fluency in

Qualifications

Honours degree in civil/structural engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).
Minimum three years' post-qualification experience in detailed bridge design.
Ability to undertake bridge analytical modelling, including FEA.

Responsibilities

Work with bridge and civil structures across materials and forms, including superstructure, substructure, foundation and articulation.
Participate in early project stages: scoping, surveys, optioneering and scheme design.
Undertake preliminary and detailed design, including modelling and calculations.
Assist in drawing production and prepare technical documents.
Support delivery within agreed timeframes and provide construction stage support.
Interface with clients, authorities and contractors.
