AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resident Engineer for a bridge construction and rehabilitation project in the Galway/Mayo region on a fixed-term 12-month contract commencing in June 2026. The role involves site-based supervision, administration, monitoring and inspections of construction activities, working as part of a site supervision team.

The candidate should have relevant post-graduate experience as Resident Engineer on masonry, concrete and steel bridge structures, a Civil/Structural Engineering

Qualifications

Post-graduate experience as Resident Engineer on bridge construction, repair and rehabilitation.
Civil/Structural Engineering degree required.
Computer literacy with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Experience with Public Works contracts is a plus.
Full driving licence and valid SafePass.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Site-based supervision, administration, monitoring and inspection of construction activities for a bridge construction and rehabilitation contract in the Galway/Mayo Region.
Work as part of a site supervision team to deliver project goals.
Maintain records and progress reporting throughout the works.
