Job summary

The Law Society in Dublin is seeking a capable bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced legal environment. The role requires high accuracy, confidentiality, and independence, with a focus on compliance and robust record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally within a legal practice or professional services environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
  • Processing invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
  • Liaising with solicitors and support staff regarding financial matters and queries.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Supporting compliance with accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial records.
  • Assisting with general office administration and operational support where required.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the firm's day-to-day financial operations within a fast-paced legal environment. Key Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally within a legal practice or professional services environment

  • Previous office management or administrative management experience would be a distinct advantage
